I started my first training job today! Squeeeee ^_^ . This lady Peggy is giving me $20 an hour to work with her 6 year old Standardbred/Arab/Paint mare. 'Playboy' on Island Horses used to own her, she gave her up to Nicole because she just couldn't ride her anymore. She developed some psychological problems resulting in rearing and bucking. it looks like i can't make it to the gymkhana. :(
i have no way up or down there, and i'm working on monday morning (yes, i got a job! woo dollar store wench). if i could swing a ride back here i might be able to find one there, but it doesn't look like there's any hope of that. i don't get paid for another two weeks, and i owe most of my cheque to my parents for rent.
i'm really sorry, man. i really, really wanted to go visit and go spend the day with everyone from silver spurs. i wish i could have told you sooner, too, but i just found out for sure tonight that i wouldn't be able to be driven either way, and i don't have the money for bus fare (plus i'd have to meet you in nanaimo, which is a bit out of your way).
i promise that if i'm not working on the next gymkhana day, i'll be coming to coombs. in fact, if you let me know the next date, i'll make sure to book the day off. :)
