I've never felt an earthquake but mum's felt several in your area so I asked her for her thoughts:

She says the earth tremor was probably just coincidence but if Sooty has pasteurella or is prone to stress then even a very minor trigger can bring on an attack, a symptom of which can be head-tilt.

Is she EC+?

Is she still eating normally? Could she move around normally during the attack?

Are there any other neurological signs during attacks, such as nystagmus, ie abnormal eye movements which can be side to side or up and down?

It could simply be a mild ear/vestibular infection but from what you've said, it doesn't sound like anything too serious.

We all hope she's feeling better now.

Thanks Maddie

No Sooty hasn't got pasteurella and isn't EC, but she does seem prone to stress unlike Snowy and me, Dad says she is highly strung and will get her own way at all costs, which is good cos it shows that she is a fighter and also tell Mum and Dad very quickly when she isn't feeling so well. Sooty has had G.I. on many occassions but it usually coincides with a change in the weather, Mum and Dad have treated her at home but on some occassions she had to go and see Uncle Darren.

Sooty could move round during her attack and was eating hay and even tried grooming my eyes (blush) there are no other symptoms apart from she wasn't her boystrous self which alerts Mum and Dad that there is something wrong.

Uncle Shawn tends to think it is a mild ear infection and Mum and Dad have to take her back on Friday for a check up.

Thanks for your help Maddie and your valued thoughts, its at times like this we are glad we have other buns to talk too.

love jetty xxxx

Poor Sooty, hope she is better now.
Too many of our friends have been sick lately, it's all getting to be a worry.

Hi! I'm not an egg spurt, but I am EC+ and my first thought was EC. Generally, buns with EC are ok, but can get head tilt or katty akks (like I got). I'm also prone to statis, but, thank goodness, I got over my last bout and that's not related to the EC, as far as we can tell.
