i like some of the concepts- there seems to be a lot of training to intercept and "destroy" an attack rather than block (ie. elbow-strike to an oncoming fist), joint locks and breaks, and grappling/control without entanglement so as to defend against multiple attackers. that being said, the few times i've seen it demonstrated were extremely coreographed... but the guy who runs that school (http://clearsilat.com/) also has cheesy "executive transformation" seminars and crap like that, so that's hardly fair.
i imagine there's a huge difference between the traditional art and the competition style (which can't be nearly as vicious). i'd also imagine that, like most styles, it would fall apart in an MMA ring.
