This week has been a little bit eye opening. I've been having a bad week from the working stand point. I've been at Target for a month and starting last week, I loathed having to go into work. I counted the time until my first break, to my lunch, to my final break and until the time I got to leave. I've not gone in or even called in the past ( Read more... )

One of the things that I found to be the most irritating about working in any type of sales/retail is that the majority of people that come into the store can be okay (maybe not around the holidays...but other than that okay) but you never know which ones wont be okay. What the guy buying the alcohol doesn't realize is that those asking for his ID, are doing it because they are supposed to. He doesn't get that. He doesn't WANT to get it because to admit it only invalidates his outrage at being put out by having to show the little piece of plastic he purchased in order to prove his identification in the first place. How dare people ask him to use it for the purpose in which it was intended! :p If only he realized just how much of a jack-ass he made himself out to be in asking for the supervisor and making a scene. And then of course people never read the coupon. They read the big bold numbers followed by a symbol they have come to know as a percent sign (but only from being a consumer...) and that's good enough for then. Can you ( ... )
