First of all, I loved your avi. I agree 100% with your POV. Two families may live in the same street, and an airplane, or a tree falls onto one of them. One family suffers, the other doesn't. It's destiny or fatality, no effort or wish is envolved in this accident. People says it's luck.
A few years ago, my older daughter was riding her bike & was hit by a pickup truck. I watched the truck hit her tire, watched her fly backwards through the air towards oncoming cars, in the middle lane. Watched her land on her back as cars came toward her.
Her only injuries were a sprained knee, and a few cuts & bruises.
It was a miracle that saved her, not luck. Calling that "luck" seems so wrong, even offensive to me.
