Care & Support

I don't know how much care & support I want for this pregnancy & birth.  I thought for sure I'd want a midwife or two at the birth.  Definitely one for pregnancy care but for the birth?  I'm not sure now.  I thought I'd want a doula, but I don't think I do anymore.  I know how I am, and I know I'll fall back on the midwife/doula instead of relying ( Read more... )

Surely a doula is there to make sure yu get what you want, and to get you and everyone else to stick with your birthplan as much as possible! If you choose to go with a doula make sure you tell her this whole story!

If a doula tries to make you do stuff you don't want, they aren't a good doula! But I know you know this :)

I'm definitely hiring a midwife, still not sure about a doula. If I was planning a hospital birth then I would definitely want a doula. I don't think I need one with a midwife, though?
