Cigar Box Snapshots, Part 2

Here's a good close up of Grandpa, with Laddie the dog. It looks like they're behind the old house in Kansas City. That house had 4 floors, not including the basement, and burnt orange carpet on the stairs. Whenever we would visit, all 4 of us grandkids would arrange on the stairs for a picture.

The first picture was taken just to the east of the patio in the backyard. I recognize the window. Laddie was a GREAT dog! I don't know the 2nd guy either. The boy in the 3rd photo is/was Merle Mitchell, the airplane was built by your grandpa. Merle was one of your grandpa's first cousins, but he was killed young. Car accident I think. The last picture is of two of "The James gang", I think. The man on the right is in-fact your great grandfather, Boley Albert James. I'm pretty sure the man on the left is his brother Guy James. It looks to be a early-mid 1950's photo. There were 9 James children from Vichy. The other brother, Grover, was killed in a car wreck a little bit before I was born.
