No real point

I find this amusing...

Spell-checkers usually don't agree with my name. I'm used to it. But somehow, one spell-checker gave me this list of alternate spellings instead of "Meghan": Meehan, Meg-han, Me-Ghan, and Moghan. The hell!? Are those even real words?

But at least my name isn't spelled "Meaghann" I've actually seen that. Craziness.

that's just weird

but the question is ... do you pronounce it MEH-gun or MAA-gun

not knowing you IRL, i've wondered...

i respond to either, because i get called both. i also respond to meg, hey, yo, and i even once turned my head for "hey whore!" (note, this was at the slut party, and it's was vax who called that out to get my attention for a picture). but anyway, i introduce myself as MEH-gan

i know what you mean about responding to all versions.

my full first name is alicia. here in the "south" that's uh-LEE-shuh. in the north {where my dad, who named me, is from} it's uh-LISH-uh.

for years and years i cringed at the first pronounciation. i kinda dig the spanish version {uh-LEE-see-uh} but ... other than that ... i couldn't stand the mispronounciation after awhile, and resorted to the nickname "ally". people misspell it often, but seldom mispronounce it.

i know what you mean, but there aren't too many ways to pronounce my name. spelling however, hoo boy. i usually don't bother to correct people anymore. it's just easier to leave it as "megan".
