Meandering Mind

I was reading a few things the other day and it got me to thinking.

I'm sure that most of you have come across the Holographic Principle but if not let me sum it up in how I understand it (which I'm sure is wrong): It's possible to store 3D data on a 2D surface if that surface is something like a gravitational boundary. Furthermore, that it's ( Read more... )

Would it change things?..Not particularly. For one, it's such an arcane notion to wrap my head around, I'd not be overly inclined to believe it. Sort of like Dark Matter -- scientists think there's invisible masses the size of galaxies whizzing through us right now, but it simply doesn't interact with normal matter. Doesn't affect me one bit.

There will always be naysayers, and I'd probably be one of them. Now..If I DID buy into all of that...That we're all just holograms (I prefer divine dreams, but sure, why not..) Well, then my response is dictated by the written program, and again, nothing changes. Whether I think I have free will or not, or whether the world is real or not; whatever real even IS...Things are as they are since we can't step outside the program, so yeah -- I think everyone else as much as me would quickly get over the storm of insanity and say "meh -- well, this still feels plenty real and I can't unplug, so back to the grind.."

But not before giving the finger to the guy shaking up the ant-farm for lols.
