My daughter and I have loved watching this sport ever since they debuted it at the Olympics when she was about 2 or 3 years old. She's 10 now. She used to pretend Curl on the foyer floor! Not much chance of seeing or playing it here in Arkansas...

My youngest two are avid curlers, and there's talk of them joining the junior team this year and competing around the province. Out here in the wilds, it's hard to find something for the kids to do that doesn't involve 5am practice (hockey), the glorification of violence (hockey), and insanely high expense (hockey). The curling encourages them to slow down a bit, think about what they're doing, and support each other as a team. We love it!
