And it's for those precise reasons (which stem to a deeper core issue) that my friends and I will be visiting them soon.
And for reasons you have shown, I would recommend praying for them. For many, they are so far gone that only God Himself can break down those walls. It stems beyond calamity over a caricature to a much more serious issue. It involves a deep engraining of social, governmental, and religious culture that has imbedded itself into their lives to now serve as a stronghold.
Please continue praying for them, and for those whom God has called to travel there in the upcoming future.
with the Muslim French riots - I have no idea what a solution would be. a lot of those european countries with large and unemployed Muslim populations should put them to work in public projects. i know the WPA and all the multitude of other three-letter-acronyms of the 30s in America did wonders in jump starting our economy after the depression.
