Why does this game (Castle Crashers) remind me so much of a reimagined, differently themed D&D:Towers of Doom?

RC, Paul and I played until 12:30Am last night. It's a Lot of fun!

Man... I didn't see that coming.
It was really heartwrenching, too, and I didnt really even like the character *that* much, but I really liked the other one so that hurt.

Sorry for being vague, trying to avoid spoilers.

I thought RC (friend of mine) was going to cry. :(

Anyone who knows me knows that Steampunk is my favorite 'genre'.

The crew and I hit up Central 111 at Great neck last night. It was pretty awesome. The setup was actually reminiscent of a hookah lounge (complete with oversize pillows and hookahs), very relaxed. Bleh. I go to conventions to see people I don't see often, and in that I succeeded. I met new people who were pretty cool as well. I have decided, I know way more people than I could ever hope to share meaningful time with. I think that's why conventions work.
