I love how people who are supposed to be considered my "close friends" never seem to be as deeply concerned about my life and how I am as people who aren't as "close." Granted, there are exceptions (i <3 you, marli!) but it just seems that so many of my friends are just so consumed in themselves that all i deserve is a five second recognition of

yes, they do and sometimes that's rather unfortunate because they take things that i'm saying in a fit of emotion, personally.

it would be better if they took the "things you said" impersonally, or amorpheously. It'd be different if you were talking about them negatively or something like that.
