Wow so we are finally in 2020.
The year started off kind of normalish. I’m writing to you now in the midst of a legitimate medical crisis. COVID-19.
Working in my profession, I’ve seen many a disaster. I’ve worked Hurricane Sandy, blizzards, massive protests, but this has to be the worst. The entire population of New York State and much of America is under a stay at home order. An order, many of my fellow New Yorkers are having a very hard time obeying.
I know the liberal nature of New York leads to much questioning of authority. I’ve dealt with it the last (almost) 10 years. But come on guys, if you don’t care about yourselves at least do it for your family and loved ones.
As for me personally? Well the show goes on work wise. For better or for worse. I just pray I don’t bring this home to my family and I pray we all can get through this together. I never thought I’d be wishing that life would go back to normal so badly. Sadly we still have some time before that happens.
