My philosophy on documentation.

• The person who's job you get will probably not have documented everything.
  
• There will always be something you will forget to document.
  
• Your former employer will call you if he really needs that information, and pay you an hourly consulting fee.
  
• Therefore, it is in your best interest to document just enough so that you can make maximize your earnings later.
