I used to do software dev for Pocket PC and Palm OS. I think my favorite PDA was the second gen Handsprings (I forget the model.) I got a pretty nice Pocket PC a few years ago. Then I realized what crap the hardware was. It didn't even have an internal battery so if you happened to run out of power it lost everything on it. I didn't like how the application interfaces were either - to many clicks to get the info you wanted.
Anyhoo, let us know how this one works out. I'm especially interested in that battery life!
I'm not real impressed with Windows Mobile 2005 so far, but then again, I'm not a huge fan of the WIndows UI anyway. I like it better than the PalmOS though.
This one does have an internal battery, but since I take my 'backpack of doom' almost everywhere I go anyway- I'm not all that far from an available power source- if it became an issue. At least from some small observations, the battery life on this one is quite a bit better than my XV6600.
I've learned never to volunteer to do anything at work, or divulge knowledge in any area outside my job description. This prevents the other slackers on the "team" from getting away with not doing things. ;)
You see, the problem with that is one simple fact: I work for a college, which means, by extension- I work for the government. Government work means that *EVERYONE* gets paid the same, whether they do good work, or badd, on time or late, etc
