This Youtube video, based on Bill Bailey's "Doctor Qui" song (if song is the word for it), has apparently been around for five years now, but a friend's only just alerted me to it. It's an inspired piece of lunacy.

BBC Radio 4 is broadcasting a dramatisation of Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman's Good Omens in six 30-minute episodes. The first two aired yesterday (Monday) evening, and the remaining four are being broadcast nightly for the remainder of this week at 11:30 pm. Since the BBC announced this about six weeks ago, I'm surprised that I've only just found out about it.

Today's Google "doodle" (at least on google.uk) is marking the 80th birthday of the late Diana Wynne Jones, which is rather splendid.

Starting on Monday and daily thereafter, Pick TV is showing the four seasons of Farscape starting from the very beginning. I believe this is the first time that it's been on free-to-air TV in the UK ( Read more... )

I've gone down with an illness with fluey symptoms. It's nothing like as bad as true flu (which I've been vaccinated against in any case), but it's unpleasant enough.
