I picked up my shoe from a shoe repair shop yesterday. The outer seam was coming loose on the left half of my favorite pair of hiking boots. It actually started coming loose a month or more ago. Maybe when the usuals come into Neighborhood Shoe Repair they address the cobbler as their "sole brother." hehehehe =P

I'm glad you got your shoes repaired. If they're the ones I'm thinking of (that you wear all the time) then I think it was worth it getting them repaired. You know as "they" say, "A good shoe is worth its weight in papaya seeds"
Thankfully shoes aren't as slimy, but you can't spit them as good.

Yeah, I'm really glad to have my proper shoes back in proper shape. I can now go back to always wearing them everywhere all the time.

It is sort of mythical... makes you want to go on foot to a bakery and buy a fresh loaf of bread for the morning.

Is there hope of repair for your bag?

Yeah, it's that same never-seen, maybe-never-been kind of neighborhood economy. And we all love fresh bread, right?

I am a cobbler and it was nice to see your letter a lot of us appreciat the words.
You will find a lot of us try to keep the"Old World" attitude and by the way we also fix book bags :)
