Yep, Wednesday was a good day for the SCOTUS. The meddling with the Voting Rights Act is unwelcome, but, life is in perpetual flux - new cases can be brought to them, new legislation enacted. The removal of DOMA means not only the opening of equality at a Federal level, but also the likelihood of equality on the immigration front - indeed, I noticed this story of a NYC couple with one partner under threat of deportation, where the decision may already have had a wondrously positive effect.
My stance and blocks are so strong they dislocate shoulders and break bones and that's just my defense!Hee! I can't say I'm too surprised, though - you've always had quite a solid stance and demeanor, almost badger-like. ^_

It's good to see there are still some other livejournal lifers out there. I think this place is unique in the way it fosters a community of people writing at length about their lives.
Spot on for everything. And regarding Hula? The most authentic Hula you will ever see, is probably the Consolidated Theaters Intro. That, or if you visit the Polynesian Cultural Center on Oahu. They're serious about getting it right.
