I'm not sure it's possible to prepare for this. I'm expecting to cry for pretty much most of the episode. This is the first show that I've watched with such a key actor death. As I said before, I can't imagine how the cast coped with the filming. Here's hoping they balance that terribly fine line between respect and drama as best they can.
It's the part of the grieving process that's been put 'on hold', in a sense, for tv-time to catch up with real life.
Cory's friends got to grieve for him after his death (and as fans we also got to grieve Cory in our own way), but the fans haven't had the chance to grieve Finn's death. Although I'm sure most of us will be crying, as you said, we need to see it. To say our own goodbyes to the character and to echo our good-byes to Cory.
Floo powder would definitely work! Although that Star Trek transporter would still be my first choice, followed closely by a Tardis. Imagine the adventures on the way to a conference ;)
There have been many an episode after which I've almost given up on Glee, but at the end of the day a few characters and a few songs just keep bringing me back. I just roll with the punches these days. But yes, I think Thursday's episode will probably bring a lot of people back to say good bye to one of the genuine good guys on and off telly.
