IDK IF WE CAN BFFS ANYMORE BECAUSE YOU DISLIKED SOUTH PACIFIC. BECAUSE YOU KNOW I'M LIKE IN LOVE WITH LT. CABLE.
Anyway, wow! You saw a lot of movies. I really want to see Rachel Getting Married because it's just different than what Annie Hathaway normally does. You know? A bit out of her usual I-play-teenagers role. Or her Brokeback Mt. role.
I miss you and I am terribly sorry to hear about Merlin. :( I hope he feels better soon. ♥
Ooh! An entry. I thought you were on hiatus for the summer.
Ahh, lucky, at least you got to listen to your iPod. Doing a desk job WITHOUT an iPod is torture, pure torture. *raises hand to forehead dramatically*
No!! Poor Merlin. He's so teeny, I'm glad and amazed he didn't come out of it with worse. Take good care of him. ♥s for Merlin.
I think my favorites of the beauty shots shown are numbers two across, two down, and the last one. This photo shoot is kind of reminiscent of Tim Burton's work.
I knew you would like the Half-Blood Prince! If you want to know my thoughts on it, I wrote an entry about it.
Personally, I loved Slumdog Millionaire. It's one of the few depressing-except-at-the-very-end movies that I could get through...and happily. And even though it was kind of stupid and unnecessary, I loved the dance scene at the end. *geek*
I AM A TERRIBLE KING FAN. I MUST SEE THE SHINING. ZOMG.
Wow, are these all the movies you watched over the course of the summer? There's nearly forty here.
Oh, I am, but this is the time of year when I come off hiatus, so...yeah.
My sweet, sweet Josephine, I'm so, so sorry. I didn't have my iPod with me the first day, and I thought I was going to die. That's a little drastic; I didn't think that. But you get my empathy.
THE SHINING IS GREAT AND YOU MUST SEE IT. However, there's a fifteen-second-long epilogue that nearly ruined it for me, because it added a supernatural undertone to the movie that I hadn't picked up on and really didn't need.
Yeah, and I'm still watching more. I'll comment on Julie & Julia and (500) Days of Summer next time around.
Hehehe, yes, I get it. In case you couldn't tell due to my incredible mastery of subtlety, I was being just a tad over-dramatic as well. Good practice for this fall's Intro to Acting I! (Did you see my entry about which classes I'm taking?)
It's the one with Jack Nicholson, right? I love that actor. And I know he can do more than just comedy; I saw About Schmidt. Oh. I thought the supernatural undertone was kind of...the point? That you don't know whether it's just him going crazy or the curse or whatever it is. Well, I will just have to watch it and let you know what I think. The only reason I've been putting it off is because my dad saw it and was afraid of topiaries for a month. Heh.
Every time Meryl Streep's face comes on the commercial saying, "Bonjour!" my mom looks at me and says seriously, holding out her hand, "Ali, I have to see that movie." And I so agree. I don't even know who Julia Child is, but it looks great. I await your entry eagerly (as long as it won't have spoilers).
October Sky was a great movie. I like the Blair Witch Project because I hear the dry leaved crunching as the group walks. I like when they find the "stickmen" in the trees.
I agree with you ... they found some goo outside their tent one morning and other than the stickmen, what was scary? The ending was a huge disappointment. We saw Josh standing in the corner and I assume someone/the witch killed him. The camera was dropped so did that mean the witch/killer got her too? There were unanswered questions in my mind.
I didn't find the ending very disappointing. They both died, I suppose. *shrugs* Was it the witch? Probably not. Was it some crazy person who was stalking them? Very likely.
For me, the way the movie was filmed, even though it made it seem more realistic, removed the terror aspect. I never thought that there was a crazy person doing those things; in my mind, it was always the production crew.
I can't imagine doing a desk job. Watching over a flower shop all alone for five to six hours is quite enough for me. But you do have some means of diversion, and your French conjugation will be in good shape!
Merlin! Oh no! :( Pobrecito... at least it wasn't worse.
Of all those movies, I've only seen five (Milk, Rosemary's Baby, The Shining, Gangs of New York, and Alien), soon to be six when I watch Defiance.
Oh, and Jasonet -- I hope you're never not proud of being Jewish. I'd be, if only I could confirm some possible Sephardic ancestry... *sniff*

She's great in that movie. She deserved the Oscar nomination.
He's fine. The medicine's screwing up his system, but his little scratches are healing nicely.

But, you know, I didn't find the movie all that scary. I don't know what everyone's talking about.
