HA. Of course, I've never seen but a few episodes of Sex and the City and don't intend to see either film, but reading your scathing analysis made me giggle. I suppose this installment was meant simply to serve as fashion eye candy for millions of female wishful thinkers? If so, that's absolutely no way to approach filmmaking.
Also, that's a downright shame about the stereotyping. People should get over that. Carrie's statement sounds like some ditzy college girl's feeble attempt to sound profound -- before hurrying to the next frat party.
Instead, the women strip away their garments, showing that underneath, they're wearing Alexander McQueen's newest collection. The ludicrousness of this almost had me laughing out loud! What the hey?
As for the rest of the movies in your impressive list, I've only seen There Will Be Blood (which I hardly remember at this point, but little loss there) and The Road. What really captivated me as far as the latter is concerned is the cinematography -- the color palette, the camera angles, the dreary
