Recently, due to an error at my mail order pharmacy, I ran out of one of my medications. After clearing this up, I had my doctor fax over a new prescription and give me a prescription for a 14 day bridge, which has always been standard for mail order phamacy insurance

One solution is to get the doctor to give you a week of simples for emergencies. IOf that can't be done, have him write an rx that says to give double the dose for 1 week, then return to previous dose, and there's your cushion, because these people are idiots. They should have overnighted you the medicine when they realized their error so you had it the next day.
