Going to the dentist in a bit; not really looking forward to it
I leave for the dentist's office in roughly half an hour or so. This is the regular cleaning plus x-rays that most of us have on a regular basis. It's going to be a chilly evening and the leaves are falling off the trees. For some odd reason this is making me want to clear off of the dining table and pull out the jigsaw puzzle keeper so I can put together a nice 500 piece puzzle of something colorful and interesting. -
Back home
After a week in San Diego I'm back home. The visit was worthwhile. -

Saying good-bye to the place where we buy drugs
For a very long time we've been going to a pharmacy in Kirkland to get all of our local prescriptions. Yes, there were other pharmacies that were closer to us, but this was an independent, compounding pharmacy that delivered quick service (you could get in and out in under 5 minutes if it wasn't busy), the staff was super nice and they genuinely ( Read more... ) -
Returning to the point of origin
In a little over a week, I'll be taking a plane to San Diego to visit the family since one of the family was just diagnosed with cancer. Although chemo is having some effect, it was still suggested that I do a "just in case" visit and then return in December for my parents' 50th anniversary. Don't mess with aficionados of Polish composers
I've been listening to the audiobook version of Watchlist (two novellas written serially by nearly 20 thriller writers) and during the first novella, I was reminded of watching an episode of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" called "The Masterpiece Society" and a scene in particular where this boy is playing classical piano.
