Leonard Cohen playing in Oakland next Monday-Wednesday

Good week for musical discoveries in my world! I just found out Leonard Cohen is touring right now, which is really keen 'cause I never saw him live and it looked like he wasn't going to tour any more. And, he's playing this coming Monday-Wednesday in Oakland. I'm considering going, just curious whether anyone else is interested

A few years ago the expectation was he was done touring forever.

I thought of you first, of course... the closest show he has to you is in Vancouver. I think that's further out, maybe there is time to schedule a trip somehow?

Maybe it won't be good? Honestly, I can't decide how excited I feel about it, his last album wasn't that exciting... maybe he will be doing all that stuff!

It's our last chance to see a LEGEND. I don't think he ever went on tour for Ten New Songs, there must be some of that in there. And hey, if he only plays new stuff and recites poetry, my eyes will still roll back in my head.

Hey, he's playing in Seattle on the 23rd. Have you bought tickets yet? New idea: fly to Seattle, see him with me.

That would just about make my decade.

Of this month? I would totally consider, that, but unfortunately I am in San Diego for my mom's birthday. :-(

Nobody has expressed interest in Oakland, though, so I don't know that I'll make it out for any of those shows, either.
