the #1 thing i don't understand about texas is WHY/HOW the temperature seems to peak around 6 PM. it just gets hotter and hotter as the day goes on.

so, the neighbors aren't bad here. no one has phone conversations outside my door, nobody runs around shrieking. but man, i am now seeing the drawback to living adjacent to a "natural" area--those fucking birds. uuuuughh. i'm getting up at 6:30 anyways dudes, can't you delay your gleeful [AND LOUD] morning songs until then?

i have my very own kitchen, some key utensils, a can-do attitude and very little know-how:

tell me your favorite recipe and/or favorite source of recipes.
i think my body would appreciate if i sometimes ate something other than pasta salad and pie filling.

and hey, if enough of yous EL kids respond, mebbe i'll make us a gunson family cookbook.

last night adam and i left a movie to go rent cool as ice.
during the opening credits of the movie we were at i leaned over and said "you know what movie i wish this were? cool as ice." barely a word more was spoken, and we were off.

once again, my mind was blown with awesomeness.
