So here I am, halfway though a g&t, which, btw is my new drink of choice, and I can't sleep... so naturally I am catching up on all of my online correspondence, etc which I am normally pretty horrible at.... but since I can't sleep i need to do something to distract me from the mundane concerns that prevent me from sleeping. I agree completely.
However, you have to think; if they can arrest an eight-year-old for packing a butter knife (which they deemed a WEAPON) in their lunch, they can attempt any sort of mind-numbingly stupid things (i.e., invading a sovereign nation).

naturally we as a country need to be a little bit more paranoid after 9/11. Obviously this means ignoring common sense. If you arrest every one who could be construed to have violated a law then no one slips though the cracks. Children with butter knives are obviously on the verge of terrorism and need to be dealt with...
