About 5 minutes ago, I realised that it was because I'd written ) instead of } (You try telling the difference when your eyes are tired :( ) Oh well, that's most of the day wasted on a stupid error. i feel your pain! i nearly shot myself after spending an entire day watching my stata program error message over and over. turns out i had a "," instead of a ";" they should make those programs smarter.

i'm jealous of you going on a trip, and buying gear... :) i need an excuse to buy more gear. are you going to climb?

Yep, the plan so far is to spend new year in Prague, then head down to Slovakia on the train. From there the plans are a bit hazy, but will definitely involve large amounts of ice climbing, as that's the main reason we're going in the first place ! Hopefully there'll be snow and ice there in January...
