After the hectic summer holidays, deciding what to do with the rest of my life, and other minor decisions along those lines, here I am back at uni, in the first week of my D.Phil in Materials. It's done, finished, gone, never to be seen again. No more thesis writing, not for 3 more years (provided I get a 2:1), and then there'll be no set deadline.

Bed now. I'm dead. That's what a 30 hour day does to you.

So I'm done. I have written as much as I'm going to, played around with my pictures as much as I can, and printed out 3 copies. Thank God my thesis is only 3M, it prints pretty quickly really. Yay LaTeX :) So now I've just got to stay awake long enough to find David Bucknall and get him to give me some feedback. It's kind of distressing that he ( Read more... )

So, I'm nearly there now. Deadline for handing in of my thesis is Friday morning. I reckon I can get printed tonight, bound tomorrow morning, and handed in shortly afterwards. Then a huge weight will be lifted from my shoulders and I can go out and enjoy myself again ( Read more... )

Because I've been REALLY busy. Mainly with work, but with quite a lot of other stuff too. The main exciting news of the day is that my first draft of my thesis is finished. D.Phil application is now in... I have a place in college sorted, just need to make sure I get a uni place, and funding, then next year should be sorted. I'm feeling kind of nervous about it now.
