Day 5. Favourite Attack
Okay so my favourite attack, I think this is another question that could be broken up - and broken up quite a bit actually. HP attacks, BRV attacks, most useful, most pretty etc...
I don't think I'll go in to _quite_ that much detail about why I love the attacks that I do, but I guess I can wheel off a few!
BRV attacks
Okay so in terms of 'pretty', I like magic attacks; they're shiny and flashy and awesome! I particularly like Terra's spells and the Emperor has been impressing me with his trap-magic. All those arcane symbols are truly lovely~! Also, Yuna's Aeons never fail to cause a spectacle! :D
In terms of 'practical' I'd pretty much say Firion Firion Firion and possibly a bit of Vaan and Laguna in there for good measure. I love Firion's BRV attacks; his Reel Axe and his Rope Knife are soooo useful, particularly as they combo in to Double Trouble for added fun (anyone else notice that we get a flash of his arse during Double Trouble? <3 ... Guess that'd just be me, then! 8D ) I also find Firion's Magic Arts, particularly Thunder, to be useful when I'm flailing about mid-air. I've found even the best AI cannot quite seem to dodge (and attack) when they're faced with triple Thunder!
I've noted Vaan down as almost all of his attacks seem to follow through with Chase, which can be pretty useful when you're mid-air as you can go straight in to Inferno once the Chase is dropped. Very useful indeed~!
And Laguna, well... long range is awesome! Laguna + Landworm + Snooze and Lose = amazing! (Plust he does have THE GREATEST ATTACK EVER! so what's not to love?)
HP attacks
Alright, now HP attacks are all pretty flashy I've go to say! If it's not Kain wielding his lance over your head (うふふふふふ~! (*￣∇￣*) I said lance..), then it's Yuna summoning all manner of impressive Aeon's to pwn your face, or perhaps Terra's OTT spells of shiny sparkly doom!
In terms of pretty I'd have to say that the Emperor's Starfall or Aerith's Holy rank pretty highly, but are seriously let down by those damned loading times! >:U Seriously! I'd also say that Bartz has stolen some of the awesome moves from his comrades too!
But, in terms of uber useful super shiny moves there are two that stand out for me;
Warrior of Light's "Shining Wave" (AKA: BATHE IN THE LIGHT PLZKTHX)
I just love how it follows people around and even goes upwards too!
and
Firion's "Shield Bash" (AKA: Can't touch dis~! / Hnnng dat ass!)
Of course you knew Firion was going to be up there as one of my all time favourite characters to molest use and naturally I'd love some of his moves! (Actually.. I love pretty much all of them... except for Swordslash which sucks).
Anyway, Shield Bash is my #1 attack, as illustrated in this piece of awful playing by me!
LOL behold my failure as I torment Kain! 8D
(BTW this is a cautious Kain at level 100 - absolutely brilliant training partner in party mode for leveling up those low level characters you don't want to invest much effort in! Firion with a Chocobo Down, Wing and Feather + Black Chocobo Grind-mode on your Special day is the best EXP farmer ever especially if you exploit the reset on a 5x EXP multiplier!)
So yes, there we go; my favourite move(s) and naturally Firion is top of the list! ... As if there was ever any doubt!
