Day 14. Worst Character Alteration
Okay so this is a tough question too for the same reason as Day 13 for character improvement (in terms of 'character' rather than say play style or move set...) I still believe that we haven't had enough chance to see the individual personalities of each character and so it's hard to say who has become worse off. Luckily, as they release more Dissidia games I hope we'll get to see more and more of the characters and their interactions (which I think is key!)
Gameplay
Now... I don't really main Bartz but in all honesty I preferred his original move set. Storyline-wise it's amusing that he has picked up the skills of his fallen comrades and mixed them up with a few 013 bits but I just don't find those moves quite as useful as the original set he had!
(On the other hand, I must acknowledge that a lot of the old characters got new skills, like Matty and his DOUBLE FLARE!!!!!!11!!! and Lord of Arms for Firi-baby <333)
In-Game / Character
I honestly think that Terra / Tina continues to be the worst character, I've seen discussion on this point and suggestions such as that her character is based on the beginnings of FF6 and things like that. Which I can totally accept, but as others had pointed out - I would much prefer to see her a strong woman who is able to wield weapons and wear heavy armour. I like magic, it's flashy and pretty, but I also think Terra / Tina deserves to be a strong main character, just like she is in her game!
Well sadly this is a bit of a short / boring entry - I guess as a general rule it's difficult to criticise when I can appreciate that S-E has made real efforts to create a game with excellent potential. It does get a bit frustrating, however, to see all of the potential but to know it's restrained by time / money / hardware etc... D<
