"Wished for a life this year, it's brand new, but on the top of the list there's you"
This year I:
* got my heart broken for the first time
* had a bunch of sexual adventures, a few which could do with a "mis" prefix.
* watched my brother get arrested
* spent a summer unemployed
* got my first apartment
* was cast in my first University Theatre show
* started a new job
* after a lot of miscommunication and fighting, began to maybe kind of sort of learn to love like a grown-up
* grew a bunch as a person, a feminist, an actor, and a writer
* got to know my brothers better
* found out I was going to have a sister-in-law
* gained a new appreciation for both my parents
* decided I can't live at home again
* voted in my first presidential election and felt proud of my country for the first time in ages
Who knows what 2009 will bring? Like the last couple of years, I suspect there will be a lot of stress and a lot of good and a lot of learning.
I always forget to make resolutions. If I come up with some I'll post them. If not, there's always the big one -- "just do my best."
