I wish House of Leaves wasn't so big and bulky, and fragile...as the cover is 3/8 of an inch smaller than the book itself because they were feeling clever.

Everything is Illuminated - I only have this in hardcover, and as it's pretty big and set in the Ukraine, I should be able to find a copy there.
However. You should read it.
Or I will MAKE you read it. No matter how many oceans away I am...

I was thinking about Dune and Pattern Recognition, maybe Good Omens - they're all fast reads and portable.

Sadly, a lack of good lit. won't be my only problem. None of my favorite bands live for a while...
Completely different music scene.
So.
If you don't send me new music while I'm gone I'll be forced to sulk at you.

hmmm. so I won't actually be in Petersburg this summer, sadly. My plans changed a bit, and I believe I'll be in Kiev for the year.
