[Taemin] Hi~ I think you all know my best friend ________, she was in Super Junior’s mv with me. Well we’re not best friends anymore. WE’RE DATING!~~~ ^^
Taemin giggled as he updated SHINee’s me2day. You smiled when he looked at you, but you were a bit embarrassed now that he had told all of SHINee’s fans.
“Aren’t you going to get in trouble for this? I thought you said before that you’re not supposed to be dating yet.” You said to him.
“Don’t worry about me. I talked it all over with my manager and he said it’s okay.”
You both looked over at the computer screen again. Comments had started to pour in right away. You skimmed through them quickly and became discouraged with what you saw. Many fans had commented and most of them were upset with the news.

As Taemin scrolled through the comments, his heart sank at every negative response. He couldn’t understand; he thought his fans would be happy for him.
“Taemin…this was a mistake. Look at how many people are upset with me now for dating you…” You said.
“But look, there are some people who are happy for us!” Taemin replied.
SHINeeGirl dont listen to those other “fans”. theyre just being stupid. im happy as long as your happy :)

There weren’t many of them, but there were a few comments from supportive fans. You were happy to see that the whole world didn’t hate you.
“See this one? I like this one. The other ‘fans’ are just being stupid. And this other one; we deserve to be happy together. You’ll always be my sunflower, ________.” Taemin said.
“And you’ll always be my sunshine.” You had become accustomed to using those terms of endearment.
Taemin shut down the computer and decided to ignore any other comments. You joined the rest of SHINee in the living room where Minho and Jonghyun were playing some soccer game on the PS3. There was no room left on the couch, so you sat beside Taemin on the floor.
“So, ________, I guess you would date Taemin after all, huh?” Key laughed.
“Last time we suggested that, you were all like, ‘Hyung, she’s my best friend and we’re not like that!’” Onew mimicked Taemin’s tone of voice.
“Listen to your hyungs, Taemin. We know what’s best!” Jonghyun added.
“I always thought you looked cute together.” Minho paused the game to look at you.
“Aw, thanks guys.” Taemin said.
After all the negative responses on the me2day, you were glad that the boys of SHINee approved of your relationship. You were still a bit saddened by all of Taemin’s disapproving fans, but upon receiving positive reactions from SHINee, you felt like there was hope left for the world. Taemin was pretty angry that his fans hated his new girlfriend without a real reason, but he was happy just being with you. Best friend or girlfriend, you were his.
“You know…SHINee is performing at Lotte World next week. Do you want to come, ________?” Onew offered.
“We could go on some roller coasters, even though you were always afraid of them.” Taemin chuckled.
“I’d love to go!” You agreed.
“Don’t worry, we’ll get you a backstage pass too. Just come find us after the show and we’ll all hang out.” Minho said.
“Or…um…me and _______ could just hang out by ourselves. You know…like a date?” Taemin suggested.
“That’s right, you guys are dating now! I completely forgot for a second there. You aren’t really acting much different now than you did that other time you brought her over.” Jonghyun observed.
Taemin didn’t agree with Jonghyun. He was right, of course, but Taemin didn’t like to think so. He held your hand sometimes and occasionally kissed you when you were alone. Jonghyun just wasn’t around when he did it, that’s all.
“Are you guys sure you’re dating? I’ve never seen you do anything…you know, coupley.” Key teased.
“Yeah, really! She’s not your best friend anymore, she’s your girlfriend!” Onew added.
In a bout of spontaneity, Taemin kissed you gently. You played with his hair a bit as his soft lips pressed against yours. You could hear SHINee cheering mischievously behind you.
“Coupley enough for you?” He stuck his tongue out rather playfully.
“Okay, we believe you. Now no more of that in our dorm; I won’t allow it.” Key declared.
“You were the one who implied they should do something like that in the first place!” Minho retorted.
“Yes, but I didn’t tell them to go ahead and do it. I was just saying.” Key countered.
You and Taemin laughed, but Key just shrugged. Minho finally unpaused the game and he and Jonghyun went back to playing. Jonghyun was winning at the moment, but Minho boasted that he would be way ahead if it were a real soccer game. Despite the chaos, SHINee’s dorm was a peaceful place. So-called friends didn’t harass you about Taemin and random strangers didn’t recognize you as “that girl from the Super Junior music video.” When you were here, you were just you-Taemin’s girlfriend and best childhood friend, SHINee’s new acquaintance; all in all, you were still just a regular girl.
