Halloween actually stands for "Hallow's Eve", the day before All Saints' Day ("Hallow" = "Saints"). Hence, the Chinese translation for Halloween is 万圣节. Strictly speaking, 万圣节 is All Saint's Day, celebrated on 1 Nov while Halloween, celebrated on the evening of 31 Oct, should be known as 万圣节前夕.
