with bible verses on my back
and blasphemy in my throat
i take on the world
in the way that only a
slightly reckless
slightly self-destructive
girl can
and i think to myself
have i ever been more free
then i am here
right now
with my cigarette lit
watching the clock tick
tick tick
on into another day?
