As much as I don't like Casey Mears, I don't blame him for staying out. He mentioned post-race that he had wanted to come in, and that his crew told him to stay out because they didn't think it was flat. They were absolutely stupid for not listening to their driver or to Rusty Wallace's observation. Mears looked so upset and a bit angry with that whole situation. I think Ganassi needs to do some work with the #41 team, possibly dropping a crew chief who refuses to use his friggin' brain.

I actually listened to the interview again, and I now see what you're saying. I've had a beef with Casey's crew chief for a while, actually. He's made several crappy calls (along with Casey's spotter) that have screwed him over.

Ganassi needs to do some work with his whole damn organization, if you ask me.

I went to Hendrick Motorsports on Thursday in search of a t-shirt... ended up with a red one that just says Hendrick really big on it. I was torn... not REALLY wanting red for fear it looked like I was an 8 car fan, but red is my favorite color, and I didn't want white or black...

I find out soon where my tickets are for the race this weekend as well.

That is SO COOL you are staying in an RV!!! I'm (stupidly) driving from Charlotte each of the two days I'm going... but, it's all good!

I saw the shirt you're talking about on the HMS website...I went in search of a tribute that was already made, but came up empty. They actually had navy ones on the website, in addition to the red, white and black ones. I almost bought one, but I decided I wanted something that was more specific.

You should post when you find out where your seats are...it'd be cool if our seats were close together!

lol I'm a little nervous about staying in an rv...I've heard some crazy stories about fans getting out of hand in the camping areas! Hopefully we can get a "quiet" spot...

Just got my tickets.

Pearson Grandstand
Section M, Row 39

Looks like the Pearson Grandstand is in turn four... that should be good! I LOVED sitting in a turn at Rockingham, and the tracks are nearly identical, so yea!

The Darlington webpage has a cool 3-D seat viewer thing. I can't wait for this weekend!

haha yea I played with that seat map thing on the website for like half an hour!

I'm a big fan of sitting in the turns too...if it's too expensive to sit on the frontstretch (I'm willing to splurge for the last southern 500), I always go for turn 4. You'll probably get some good views of Darlington Stripe-age, which is awesome!
