I don't quite know what to make of this. I have one whole set of answers prior to moving to Canada when I was 14 to my answers post 14 to the age ordained as relevant and important (18) by the meme people so my answers got really messy and overly explanatory with the displacement in the diaspora narrative

Yes! Made me crazy, too. I could only find little parts of me reflected between the lines, and nothing to reflect the way class shifts, or the way class connects to race, etc.

Okay, granted, but isn't the joy of the internet that you can CREATE content at your whim? So, yes, if these things are "othering" why not make your own? I mean, I'm never sure where these things start, I think a lot of them are made up by un-PLU commercial sites, but I always hope that when an interesting question comes along, a PLM put it there.

Of course. Makes perfect sense. It wasn't meant to be a "poor lil ol other me" thing just a reaction to what Kit and another LJ'er were saying.
I freely admit you are way more internet savvy than I and that I (wah!) don't know what PLU and PLM mean.

LJ world, if I had the time, I would definitely create a privileged background meme tailored for me that provides the bestest, most privilegy view of my class background. Yeah!

On another note, hope we can have another tea and frosted mini wheat date soon, but at my house! Have you seen Juno? I feel like you would like the writing.
