NAME: Lucy Heartfilia
CODENAME:
SERIES/SOURCE: Fairy Tail
AGE: 17
GENDER: Female
ROLE: Student

BACKGROUND:
Lucy was born into the Heartfilia family, one of the wealthiest families in Spain, and a major player in Europe as a whole. From birth she was groomed by her father to become the new heir to the household with a cold and harsh single-mindedness. She was never a daughter to her father, only an asset to be used for the betterment of the family fortunes. Luckily Lucy did have her mother and the household servants, who helped raise Lucy to be a bright, cheerful, outgoing girl instead of an emotional trainwreck like certain other heirs to wealth families.

Tragically Lucy’s mother passed away when she was 15 from a mysterious illness, right around the same time that Lucy first developed her powers. The situation in her house quickly went from strained to unbearable, as not only had she lost the woman who had been her rock, but her father became hell-bent on finding a way to cure her mutant ability, lest she shame her family forever. A dreamer who had followed the exploits of the X-Men since she was a small child, Lucy had no desire to let her father strip her of a part of who she was, and so at 16 she fled home and spent the next year drifting from job to job, earning enough money for passage to America. Once she had, she set off to meet her idols at Xavier’s School for the Gifted.
PERSONALITY:
Lucy is a bright and cheerful girl, who makes friends easily and looks forward to tomorrow. She loves a good adventure, and dreams of traveling to far off places and meeting interesting new people. These dreams are what drive her to try and become a great writer, and what also led her to become fascinated with the X-Men.

Underneath this wide-eyed excitement, however, is a practical and responsible side. She knows how to hold down a job and manage her finances, despite always seeming to be on the verge of being unable to pay the rent. She can take care of herself, and in fact has for the past year. Lucy has a good head on her shoulders, and is often the voice of reason and common sense. She has a deep passion for literature, and reads voraciously.

She can get a little greedy and self centered from time to time, such as being jealous if she feels she is being ignored, or trying to manipulate situations to get money, but she never willfully hurts others to do those things, usually just embarrassing herself or encouraging people when she shouldn’t. Another problem is she can be easily manipulated into tagging along with her friends against her better judgment, although only people she trusts can do this.

Above all, though, she is utterly determined to stand up for what is right. In canon she once forced the King of another universe to appear before her and make an acceptation to his laws just through sheer determination to right an injustice. This girl may seem silly and very teenage girly, but she’s got a backbone of steel, and if she thinks something is wrong she will say so no matter what.
APPEARANCE:
Lucy is a very pretty young woman with shoulder length blond hair, brown eyes, and a rather full…figure. Generally she wears her hair tied by a varyingly colored ribbon in a singular bunch to the right side of her head. She takes good care of herself, and likes dressing up, but her default outfit is a sleeveless shirt and skirt held up by a belt that holds her whip and keys. She doesn’t wear much makeup unless she’s going to a party or celebration, and her clothing can run the spectrum from practical to fancy. She’s not afraid to rough it, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t prefer the finer things in life.
POWERS:
Lucy has the power to create portals between two different locations, allowing multiple people to pass through either one or both ways as long as she is keeping them open. Currently the limit for how far she can open a portal is several miles, although that may increase with training, and she currently can only open them to other places in this dimension.

Lucy can only open portals into places she has been or has seen well enough to visualize in her head, and the further away she opens one the less time she can keep it open.
ANYTHING ELSE?: Uh, well, Lucy’s handy with a whip. No, not in that way.
