One more show that's done for now.

I was supposed to go camping, but halfway on the drive down to the campground, we were told to turn around and go home because Mother Nature decided to rain on our parade. So instead of camping, we ended up having an impromptu shindig at our friend’s house to eat all the food we bought for it. And drink. And watch Mortal Kombat. *shudders ( Read more... )

Regarding the Doctor etting a haircut, remember what River said about the Doctor getting a haircut in the library.

LOL, I love your thoughts. I also love how the Confidential went back and put all River's appearances in her order of her actual timeline, rather than show timeline. IT MADE SO MUCH MORE SENSE TO ME. I mean, I understood it before, but it was so stupidly helpful :D

So when River says “Time can be rewritten” and the Doctor replies with “Don’t you dare”, it’s the opposite of what they say just before River sacrifices herself in those episodes

I may have noticed without a rewatch. I may just have squeed. Loudly!

I haven't seen those episodes in a couple of years, and I had only seen them maybe once or twice before that, so I didn't remember it. It was a very nice callback.

It was a very well done set of scenes.

I'm still trying to pick up the pieces of my brain that Moffat threw across the room.

I agree with the raising Melody point. It bugs me too that they aren't more heartbroken that they basically LOST THEIR CHILD. Really? Because I would have gone into ultra-death-mother mode.

Doctor Who? Really? REALLY? I love you, Moffat.

The "wedding"= SQUEEEEEEEE.

Rewatching silence in the library is absolutely heartbreaking. But she's trapped in the library...so is she really gone? THINGS I MUST KNOW ABOUT RIVER NOT BEING DEAD TO THE WORLD. Because honestly, if they leave it at the time-streams-being-opposite thing....that is probably the most tragic thing I have ever experienced.

Yeah, my living room is a bit of a mess, all covered in brain matter.

But she's trapped in the library...so is she really gone?

I'm assuming yes? Her physical body is dead, she couldn't regenerate and her entity in some form exists inside the Library harddrive. Still not to keen on her existing inside a computer, but eh. That discussion is not for here.

ps. just thought of this, have they explained at ALL how River is part Time Lord? Knowing Moffat I probably just missed it.
