There's another version of the shirt, the original one, that's all subdued blues and greens. It works for the design, but I love the hot pink and brightness of this one.
No lie, I went to Target looking for tiny hats to decorate it. We also wanted to get a Ken doll and spray paint it gold. You know, so she wouldn't be lonely. WINK.
I think that's what AD said, though I admit I was playing with Emmy at the time so I could have been making things up.
But absolutely! I'll just... have to make sure I'm a little higher management at the time. *shifty look* I'm not sure if there was anyone who qualified as the second tier for that project. From what I can tell, there weren't a lot of people on it. No more than ten? But I hear lots of stories about it and just for the amount of time AD put into the project, she deserved it.
yeah, if I got the option to get one for something I AD'd on, I'd buy it. because it's pretty rare to get the opportunity. mainly because so much of the reason an episode is good is whether the script is good. we can make a show as pretty as we want, but if the script is crap, no one cares. And usually only one episode from thte 13 or whatever gets nominated, and I usually work on about 2 out of those, ... and then actually WINNING it. you get the idea. XOXO
Oh yeah, I hear you. Sometimes, the storyboard artists go overboard on an episode where the script sucks, so it may LOOK nice, but the story still sucks. And then the opposite happens, when you have a great script, but something goes wrong those few weeks of production and it looks terrible.
