What-hey? An entry!

So my Twitter and Tumblr is full of DW filming spoilers. Normally, I'd be upset about this, but the location of it is making me fangirl stupidly. I'll cut for obvious reasons.

El oh el that person I didn't realize being in a HUGE FAMOUS CITY meant you were pandering to a group of people.

Yes, seven whole episodes of the entirety of New Who filmed and/or set in the United States totally constitute pandering. Uh-huh. If they really wanted to pander to me, they'd have told me when filming started so I could taken a day off to go to NYC.

Dear god, they travel somewhere on Earth that isn't part of Great Britain. HOW DARE THEY.

Personally, I'm pleased as punch for the cast and crew that they get to film someplace, you know, nice.

(/recently binged the commentary on The War Games and besides ALL MY FEELINGS you have to feel bad for them filming in trenches on a freezing rubbish dump)

So yeah, I must say I'm looking forward to being able to point at locations and be like "oh hey, I've been to that place!" though OF ALL THE TIMES FOR ME NOT TO BE IN NYC. Not that I'd have attempted to stalk anybody, but still. Facebook person is being a pretentious butt-face, clearly - heaven forbid the TARDIS lands anywhere other than within an hours' drive of the BBC Television Centre *facepalm*

I just hope for their sakes that the New Yorkers are behaving themselves and they can get their scenes done without crowd rowdiness. Nothing will trigger my embarrassment squick more than a misbehaving fan.

I was only just in NYC twoish weeks ago, too! OF ALL THE TIMES TO SUDDENLY GAIN EMPLOYMENT. *shakes fist at sky*

I want to say more about said buttface because... OH THE IRONY, but alas, the second I say it, it will out them. So I shan't.

Well, I've not heard anything about Creepyass McStalkers or annoying fans, so I'm guessing everything's fine. How big is DW in the US compared to the UK, anyway? My only experience is my fan friends and Gally, so beyond that I honestly have no clue how huge a crowd of fan-folk they'd be likely to draw filming over here.

*also kicks employment, hee*

As for whoever is buttface, say no more indeed. Regardless, a poopy standpoint on their part. *nods*

It's getting bigger over the past couple of years, but it's still nowhere near the UK. I guess when they were filming yesterday, there was about 500 people watching. In the middle of a workday. So that sounds like a lot. It could have just been OH SAY, THEY'RE FILMING SOMETHING OVER THERE.
