First off, we are grateful for your honesty in coming to us directly to solve a problem rather than taking it to a more negative forum. We like to remain open for our players, and your usage of this post to contact us is most appreciated.
Secondly, we had not realized that your player-run plot was still active, and would be affected by the current Groundhog's Day event. It was not our intention to squash a player plot, just as we're sure it wasn't your intention to squash a plot that we had devised.
What we propose is this: we can alter our event to make it an opt-in, such that some people will forget and think they have arrived at the apartments for the first time, and others will remember things as normal. This would allow both plots to go forward, as well as adding a new dimension to each with the 'don't you remember me' angle.
Additionally, for your privacy, your comment will remain screened.
Would the you consider an activity requirement option of a post/log + x number of threads or a post/log + a thread with x number of comments for people who prefer to tag rather than comment?
Also, my next few months are going to be busy and I might not be able to make all the posts required, especially with 3 RPGs, but don't really want to sit around on hiatus. I know even if I do post, I probably won't have the time to reply to people, but a few tags here and there when I have more time would be easier to keep up with.
Apologies that we cannot keep this screened in order to reply to it; if you so desire, we will re-screen it after you've read it -- just let us know in a reply to this comment.
We have accepted thread activity for AC in the past, so yes, you would be okay. We will request that one entry a month be a post in your character journal or the logs community, but the other activity can come from long threads. As far as a number of comments to be considered a long thread, we'd like to see a total of 20 (10 from you, 10 from the other person; iconspam comments (ex: 1/#, where a few icons are spammed before an actual response is given) will count as one comment). If there are three people in the thread, the comment count would increase to 30, and so on.
INTRIGUING~ And vaguely creepy. Definitely an interesting idea, and one that we can probably use (though I can't comment as to when, as we're still trying to juggle some things for summer as it is). Thanks so much for the ideas, they're really good!
Apologies for the lateness! It's been crazy for us, we didn't realize we were both working the holiday weekend, and it threw us both off. We're going to discuss your request tomorrow and get back to you as soon as possible.
