Those who have regressed in age may be enjoying all the simple joys childhood has to offer: cookies and crayons and carefree days of play. But in the next few days, they may be noticing more. Did that reflection just wave back? Was that the sound of feet on the creaky floorboards outside their rooms? Were those ghostly whispers just the wind…or something more? And flickering right on the edge of vision, ghosts and ghouls and all kinds of demons that make tales of the boogeyman look tame in comparison.
But if they try to tell the adults, they'll just be met with a blank look, or perhaps an indulgent smile. Children do have such wild imaginations, don't they? Perhaps the more easy-going adults will even check the closets and under the bed, but they won't see the visions that the little ones do. Maybe they'll even assure their now-young charges that there's nothing out to get them. They might even be right.
But they might not. There are spirits that prey exclusively on children, after all.
