A writing exercise...

I am worried that I have forgotten how to write. After graduating, it has been increasingly difficult for me to put together a decent sentence. Actually, the problem probably started after graduating high school, when I no longer had daily English classes to keep my fingers and creative brain active. So in an attempt to salvage whatever neuron ( Read more... )

Agreed with your ending! I know we've talked about this, but I'm planning on getting 20k in my account, and then anything else after that I won't skimp on doing things I WANT to do. I feel like the experiences that you or I take will influence us in ways that most tourists don't really take from their travel. Because we hardly get this privilege, we take in every single detail, and in the long-run, it'll expand our thoughts and hopefully even help us in our current career. And you're right, I am NOT willing to throw away $5k on a Europe trip if I don't have money to A) pay the rent and B) help my family (and me) in case of emergency. Conclusion: get a decent (not extraordinary) savings and go on those travels that seem like everyone our age who has gone to college has gone to!!!!!!

Other countries, here I come! Probably sometime in 2010 (o:

A really deep writing exercise~

Disneyland isn't exciting at all just by itself...I think the people you go with make a big difference too. It's not so much about the place itself anymore but rather what memories you'd like to make there. Is what I think. :)

I'm not big on travel and haven't gone out of the country in forever, but it's well worth the experience. Other countries are so different! Now I'm addicted to travel all over again, but I know my next trip won't be anytime soon. Hopefully I manage to surprise myself with this. :)

I haven't read anything or written much on LJ in a long time, and I'm glad that one of the first things I read is your entry because I have the same thoughts. I feel like I missed out on a big chunk of the whole college experience but like what you said, obviously no matter how much we wish for those times to come back... its not. What we can do is force ourselves to do things we do want to do at that moment and say: "Screw it I'm going to do it!" and not flip flop over little things.
