Scans: Trinity #7

Jul 21, 2008 20:29

This week's Trinity features not a whole lot of Trinity interaction, but it does give me something that makes me happy:  the League actually puzzling something out instead of just, you know, bashing it in.

They find out that Tarot has been kidnapped and things start to fall into place, with some help from (of all people) Hawkman.  I suppose it makes ( Read more... )

okay, losing the plot totally now. Maybe I should read the whole thing and not just the scans you put up?

You know, I honestly can't tell you if it would make more sense if you read the whole thing. The purple alien they were fighting is in custody, there's a lot of random Tarot symbolism, and I have no idea what exactly is happening. I'm just along for the ride, lol...

It seems a bit like their shoe horning in as many 'trinity' metaphors with out them actually meaning anything. Yep, there 3 different people who work well together, almost because of the differences, rather than despite them. We get it. Can I have some plot now?

Yeah, did you read the beginning, before my scans start? Because I am starting to feel like, okay, there are three of you. Sun, Moon, Earth. Past, Present, Future. Human, Alien, Magic. Earth, Wind, Fire. Bart, Lisa, Maggie. Okay. Sheez.

I was wondering if someone would, because they're purty, aren't they? I'm glad you did!

Always nice to see Dick in action! :)

And love the password! ;)

Yep, not much Trinity in Trinity this week, but some cool Tarot stuff (the cards, not the woman). :)

I really liked the Tarot symbols. Diana on the cover was pretty awesome too. And of course, Dick was great! :)

It's a slow-moving series so far, but I'm still rather enjoying it! I'm a big tarot buff, though, so that helps. :)

Okay, after seeing these, I immediately called my sister and tried to explain to her how wonderful this all was. She didn't quite get my enthusiasm. For the record, I've hated Hawkman ever since he pulled that whole "Punch Batman with the whole planet" trick in the early Superman/Batman comics. You don't punch Batman with a whole planet. Not on my watch ( ... )

You know, you're right! I hadn't really realized it until your comment, but they pull Hawkman in for advice and it turns out Batman's figured all of this out without him, no fuss no muss. "OKTHXBAI, Hawkman." Then Batman tells him what to go do and he pretty much...goes and does it, lol. Pwned, Carter!
