Bruce is so sad in this arc, he completely breaks my heart! Ever since Ivy "planted a seed of doubt", if you will excuse the pun, Bruce has slowly begun a downward spiral into a depression. Nothing he does is good enough anymore, he's starting to neglect his crimefighting (though I know that wasn't her original intention, it certainly is working out better than she planned in that respect) and I'm really hoping someone notices he's worse off than usual before he does something that will make him even more depressed and feeling useless ><. How he torments himself with that flower...poor Bruce ;_;.
On a more positive and sexy note (effectively ruining the mood I set for my review) "The Hero and the Playboy" = Hotness to the max! Who wants to watch baseball when you've got Superman's hand down your pants? Not the toughest choice I've come across by far XD
I can't wait for the next chapter! Please keep up your wonderful writing! ^^

Boy, Ivy would be delighted if she knew she was cutting into Batman's effectiveness as well, wouldn't she? An unforeseen benefit for her...

Clark and Alfred won't be clueless forever, although it might take something a bit dramatic to make them realize Bruce isn't merely feeling rather down. But they'll be there for him when it counts--I hope. :)

LOL, the tone does shift quite a bit at the end! Bruce is trying to hide in sex, but he can't quite get away from it, although it does help, being with Clark.

There should be more soon, with a pause to post birthday fic for sasha_anu! (If I can finish it in time, lol)...

I don't know whether to think that picture of the lotus is suspicious or not; on one hand, it could be Bruce trying to assuage his guilt and make up for what his company did, but on the other hand, the fact that he continues to write ever larger checks to Ivy's foundation is highly suspect.

There isn't necessarily anything fishy about the picture per se, but it is a bad sign that he's thinking about it way too much. *pats Bruce gently* He may need to think a little less and kick a little more ass eventually. :)

Oh, that must have been the Batman from the Red Son Elseworld, lol! That's where Superman lands in Russia and helps them win the Cold War. I've never read it, but I believe Batman runs the KGB. :)

I mean, he's making out with Clark, but one glimpse of the flower makes his heart ache and remember that the flower is lost forever. While he's making out with Clark! I mean, that's telling, definitely.

Oh man, this comment just made me laugh out loud--it really did! "Distracted while kissing Superman? Wow, he must be really messed up right now!" I love it. :D
