This week in Trinity the mind-control hints continue in intriguing ways, and the Crime Syndicate shows up (but so far just postures a bit).
More to the point, Dick and Tim eat cukewiches and Dick gets his butt ogled by a talking gorilla in a metal corset.
No, really.
Seeing the Crime Syndicate drives Superman almost round the bend, which triggered a

Diana's abrupt bitchiness, Bruce's inexplicable forgetfulness, and Clark's baffling testosterone poisioning?

There are obviously so many ways this could go, which is really interesting!

Slightly more on topic, I'm really glad I decided to stick with Trinity. I was thinking about dropping it around issue 4 or 5 because it was kind of boring. Even Countdown was entertaining in that train wreck sort of way. But Trinity has really stepped up its game in the past couple of weeks and I'm digging it! I mean, gorillas with bustiers!

... I was wondering if Clark's sudden anger was... well, they said in the issue before that Clark could almost feel Bruce's anger, and maybe this is Clark not knowing how to deal with it? Since Batman is being all friendly (when he's not sneaking up on Flash) and kinda Superman-like... (That's obvious, isn't it? >_<)
I loved Dick and Tim here so much! :D *glomps them* Utterly adorable. And Alfred!!!! *bounces*
JASON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *squees* I was fangirling so much when I saw that page! :D *bounces again*

I'm forced to confess I hadn't thought of that, exactly! I'm not a big fan of the idea, because it makes Bruce look kind of...well, like all he brings to the table is anger and the leadership and all comes from Clark and that makes me mad! Rowr! :)
Tim and Dick and Alfred atre wonderful here, and I hope there'll be more Jason! I mean, they're fighting Morgaine even if they don't know it yet...

I know, I don't like it at all either, but it seems to be a sort of... well, repeating theme? At least in some areas of fandom, so I assume it is in the comics too? :(
There has to be more Jason! There has to beeee!

I saw it in a World's Finest limited series, and it kind of pissed me off there! I can understand the idea in something like that old Star Trek episode, where Kirk gets split into two poeple and one is all his kindness (and is indecisive) and one is his energy and strenth (and is sadistic). Then it's two sides of the same person. But to say that when they switch motivations Bruce becomes a nice fuzzy--headed person and Kal becomes a murderous jerk seems to be saying that Batman is all the bad sides of the personality and Clark all the good, and I'm...not really in the mood to put up with that right now! Rawr!

Loved the Batcave scenes.
I'm also smiling that Dick's mask was the first thing gone after as the 'friend' totem for Batman, and then Jim's pipe was substituted because the mask exploded! ;)
As for Clark going off...seems to me the clue might be 'rage', which is a switch with Bruce, emphasizing his thirst for justice. As a man with all those powers, holding back with this new 'rage' would seem unbearable.
Diana's bluntness and analysis could be a transferral of Bruce's characteristics and applied to her mission of Truth.
Bruce is diplomatic and insightful, using Diana's diplomatic skills and applying it to his keen observation of his teammates.
Whatever the case, isn't it getting really fun in this series?
Argh! I knew that was Crime Alley when 'foundation' was mentioned. *shivers ( ... )

I'd really dislike it if somehow that meant Bruce became a nice forgetful guy and Clark and Diana became rude homicidal maniacs. Doesn't say much good about Batman ( ... )

It could be all the characteristics are exaggerated due to the magical meddling.
A bit of the plane might work! Or it could be even simpler than that as she was created from the clay of the Earth...
That's definitely a thought, but I think the clay/earth would apply to Diana, and the plane to Wonder Woman. Their heroic personas seem to be the ones that hold the magical keys.

Because wouldn't actual human beings be powerful 'objects' for the final push?
