I love this truly naive Kal. Put him in any situation and he wants the best for people. Even if he doesn't know how to achieve it.
And, as for Kal asking about how to treat each other once they're both free men. *giggles* I'm sure Bruce will show him a thing or two. ;)

Bruce might have a few possibilities in mind, at that. ;)

Poor Kal, he's trying so hard, and yet he can't do anything about it. But at least Bruce and Alfred got a little time together! That was sweet.
*hugs Kal* *and you!*

*bows* I'm happy to oblige! *grin*
And yeah, Kal's trying but the system doesn't give much leeway for good intentions, I'm afraid. But I'm sure Bruce and Alfred appreciate it...

I sort of love that he feels so out of sorts about how things are progressing between him and Bruce. Looking away at the mention of sharing a bed, and the like. :p *pets him* He's so naive still. :)
So glad this series is back! ^_^

He is very...shy, almost? And uncertain and hopeful. He's younger--both actually and emotionally than the canon Kal, which is making him strange yet fun to write. :)
Thanks so much for reading and commenting!

*sighs* Bruce is...rather unrelenting in this one. It's a hard world, and he doesn't want Kal--or more importantly, himself--to forget it. So he resists bending at all...
I'm glad the little things do come through, I get awfully nervous they won't and there'll be nothing but bleakness in this one. But I think they find small ways to work within the system they're stuck with for now...
Thank you for the lovely comment!
