That's really rather impressive.

I keep thinking of things I want to sew, but then I get very tired when I go to actually drag my sewing machine out.

Thanks!

To do things properly is a lot of fucking about, and I can't imagine my "let's leave pins, scissors, needles, tiny beads, and clumps of hair pulled out in rage all through the house" approach would work with wee children around either.

So many people snort when I tell them that there are many virtues to being only 5'2".

Then they see me at a Goth club. And they understand. ;D

trying to 'take up' her school choir robes by more than 10 inches? it sucked! [not allowed to cut them, as they were 're-cycled' at the completion of choir duties.]

all done by hand.

I has photies.....

Not that I'm, like, enabling you or anything... but...

If you do want patterns for some of the gorgeous skirts in the pattern plates, www.trulyvictorian.com really is rather good for that sort of thing. Unless of course you were already well aware of them and just have masochistic streak a mile wide. :)

It's all masochistic streak. There are heaps of online archives of actual Victorian patterns taken from old Almanacs and ladies' books. I just tend to have this terrible habit of looking at things and going, "Bah, how hard can that be?" and then wading into a project way, way above my skill level. Steep learning curve.

You posted on a UTI website with the phrase "nibble her nethers". Really? The internet haunts you, friend.

The phrase "eat her cunt out" tends to float poorly on Metafilter.
