It's all masochistic streak. There are heaps of online archives of actual Victorian patterns taken from old Almanacs and ladies' books. I just tend to have this terrible habit of looking at things and going, "Bah, how hard can that be?" and then wading into a project way, way above my skill level. Steep learning curve.
